On November 21st, Miles turned three years old. We didn't have a party for him, but we tried to make it a special family day. He woke up in the morning to his presents waiting for him. Most of the day he played with his new toys. On his way back from class Richard picked up a birthday banner, some balloons, noise makers, and party hats. Miles specifically asked if we were going to wear hats while he blew out his candles. Since that was pretty much his only request, we figured we should make that happen. After his nap we ate mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for dinner. Then we sang
Happy Birthday with our party hats on, he blew out the candles, and we ate his chocolate cake. It doesn't sound like much, but I think it was a special day for him. He is our sweet boy, and we love him so much!
Probably his favorite present, a Blue's Clue's notebook and his own green crayon from mama and papa!
A monster truck from mom and dad
He was so excited to use his notebook when he watched Blue's Clues before lunch
Writing down those clues! He also calls his new green shirt his 'Joe' shirt. Can you see why?
So excited to play with his 'colors'...or as most people know them, glowsticks
Cake turned out pretty good if I say so myself. Just your basic yellow cake and chocolate icing.
I remember when I had to teach him how to blow out candles. Now he is an expert of course. Growing up sure happens fast!
