We arrived

On Thursday morning we left the hotel and arrived at the townhouse at 9am with the movers.  We went to open the door and none of the keys worked!  I had a slight panic attack.  After calling the real estate agent and waiting an hour and a half, we finally had keys that worked- phew!  Luckily everything else went smoothly.

We have a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse in an amazing neighborhood.  The townhouse has a one-car detached garage, a deck, and a basement!  The neighborhood also has a pool, tennis courts, and is perfect for taking Miles for walks (very important to me).  Most of our immediate neighbors are elderly women.  They love having a young family on the street again and are so sweet to us.  Luckily there are also many other young families in the other sections of the neighborhood.  We like having a mix of both and are excited to hopefully make some friends.

Miles is super happy in the new house.  He doesn't have to nap in the bathroom during the day anymore while I do work, since he has his very own room.  His room is also on the 3rd floor, so it is much quieter and I don't worry about waking him up.  The living room is much much bigger than our apartment, so there is a lot more space for Miles to play and he doesn't get as stir crazy. It is also so much easier to go outside with him.  I can just sit on the front porch or on the deck in the back and watch him play.

Richard has set up his 'den' in the basement, so it is much easier for him to study in our new place.  Before it was a little distracting in our apartment.  I also LOVE having a basement.  Wow, it really frees up space on the main levels.  I actually have space leftover in cabinets and nothing under the beds.  Heaven!

I know it is pathetic that I really only have one picture in our place, but it will have to do for now.  I promise I will get pics up of the place within the next week.  I just can't bare to take official pics until I have things up on the walls and curtains hung.  Hopefully with Emmy coming on Saturday I can get things finished up with her help.

Our first dinner in our new place
