While we were in NC, one of the most fun things we did was throw a baby shower for Diane. She is expecting a baby boy in August (July if you ask Diane haha). I can already tell from the ultrasound pictures (and his parents' looks) that he is going to be super cute! We cannot wait to meet him!!!
So it was a bring a book shower, where each of us brought our favorite childhood book. Also, since we weren't going to be able to throw a shower with all of her family and friends, we actually did group shower gifts so that people could participate from afar. It was so wonderful to have everyone be a part of it, even if most people couldn't be there in person.
First we ate a yummy dinner. Then we played a few games. And apparently you have to be really careful how you explain the games when there are men involved, because they totally messed them up. I think Richard was the only one of the men to get it right- oops! After that we opened all of the books and then the group gifts. We had so many people contribute that we were able to get Diane and Peter a ton of things! Finally, we ate the yummy (and I mean yummy) white chocolate raspberry cheesecake Abby made.
