Miles' 2nd Birthday

Miles had a wonderful 2nd birthday while we were home in Maryland for Thanksgiving.  This year we actually got to celebrate it with our families!  We had everyone come to my parents house for a casual party.  We ate Ledo's pizza and salad, opened presents, sang happy birthday and then ate our yellow cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles (it only took two tries to get the frosting right haha).  It was so nice to have everyone there (both grandparents, danny, mary and her family, and aunt carolyn).  Miles is so blessed to have so many people who love him.  Family really is the most important thing.

Miles did rather well with being the center of attention.  Sometimes in large groups he can get a little overwhelmed and will just watch.  But he did great.  When we asked how old he was he would say "TWO!" and hold out ONE finger haha.  He had fun opening presents, blew out the candles right on cue, and had TWO slices of cake (how fitting).

Isn't it crazy that we now have a two year old? That sounds so crazy!

I explained the birthday sign in the morning to Miles.  Then the rest of the day he would point to it and say 'birfday.'

Our yummy chocolate cake.  Maria (my mom's best friend) came to the rescue again with powdered sugar and an excellent recipe!  Thank goodness she lives right down the street!

We got to meet Joseph- Mary and Nate's new baby boy!!!

When we told Miles we were going to get pizza he thought he was going in the car with daddy to a restaurant.  So sweet.  He ate a few bites, but pretty much he just ate cake.

In front of his presents.  He loved the cars wrapping paper.

Sweet picture of him blowing out his candles.  Yes we practiced haha.

This boy loved his cake.  Oh yes he did!
