Decorating for Christmas

The day after we arrived home from Maryland we decorated the house for Christmas.  I wasn't going to waste a single day!  I put on the Nutcracker (Baryshnikov version) and got started.  Miles loved it when I plugged in the tree to turn on the lights, but when I started spreading out the branches he got very clingy.  So I basically was setting up the tree with him wrapped around me like a monkey.  I think he was thrown off by this huge tree in our living room and didn't know what to make of it.  He did try to help put the ornaments on the tree, but it was still a little hard for him.  He did like dropping the ball ornaments on the ground though (thank goodness for carpet).

Now that we have everything set up, Miles loves pointing out all of our ornaments (cracker (aka nutcracker),  baby shoes, bear, doll, snowman, cookie (which is a snowman holding something that looks like a cookie), boat, cake, etc). He pointed to the stockings and said SOCK!  and I think his favorite tradition is the chocolate advent calendar haha.
Notice the ball in his hand...

Oops!  Someone dropped it!

I'll post more pics of the room later, but here it is!

Love your sweater, Sarah... that's what this post was all about right? haha. I especially love the picture of Miles looking at the ball ornament while you look on. So sweet.
