Ocean City

We're back!  Miles and I traveled to Maryland for 10 days to go to Ocean City for a week with my family.  It was a wonderful week with pretty great weather.  Unfortunately, Richard couldn't come, but I tried to take lots of pictures and videos to share with him.  I'll be posting pictures of our trip over the next few days, but first we will start with some pictures of us at the beach

Every day we would go out to the beach in the morning for 2-3 hours.  We would eat lunch on the beach and then come in at 1pm to give Miles a quick bath and put him down for his nap.  Miles loved the beach, but if he went out too quickly into the water and got hit by a big wave early on it would upset him and we would need to calm him down with Pringles and his pacifier.  By the end of the week we figured out that it was best to start out by sitting under the umbrella for 15 minutes eating Pringles first and then head out to the water when he was ready.  Once he was out there having fun he had a blast!  He literally had no fear and would go running in the water with no sense of self preservation.  He would also go up to other little kids digging on the beach and would sit right in the middle of their hole.  He would sit next to them as close as humanly possible and then copy what they were doing.  Then if they went up to their umbrella he would follow them, running behind, thinking they were playing chase.  Luckily they were all sweet and let him play next to them.  What can I say, he loooooves other kids.
