Christmas

I haven't had a blog post in a long time- sorry!  We were in Maryland for 2 weeks and then this week I was catching up at work and getting settled in at home.  I am finally going to take down Christmas decorations tomorrow and give the house a good clean.  I can't wait!

We spent Christmas Eve with my family.  Look at this beautiful Buche de Noel.  I'd like to pretend that we made it, but that would not be true.  Unfortunately, this is my only picture of the night.  We went to church and had a delicious dinner of chicken cordon bleu and twice baked potatoes.  It was a lovely night!

Christmas morning at the Burton's

Our booty

Good job, Elizabeth!  That's exactly what I do with my presents too.

Miles was very excited about his popper

And his new remote control

Look who got an iPad!  Lucky!!!

The oranges in the stockings were the real hit!

Our matching pjs!

Ready for church.  Miles looked especially sharp in his new outfit.

Next we headed to my parents for Christmas afternoon.  My brothers were very patient and waited for us to open their presents.

Our piles of presents!

A picture of one of the presents I wrapped (with Emmy's wrapping supplies of course).  Do you like the ornament I made for everyone and attached to the outside?

Miles was not an expert at opening presents, but he did open a few.

Dad with his new and old strainer.  What a difference.  It is the little things in life!

Back at the Burton's playing in the basement with the kids

Playing with some of Richard's old toys

Elizabeth and Miles got along very well- it was so cute.  I love how Elizabeth got so excited when Miles came nearby.

Thanks for posing Elizabeth!

Girls lunch out to the Cheesecake Factory.  Oh my gosh did I stuff myself.

Grapefruit with Grandpa.  Miles LOVED it!
He just kept pointing to the bowl wanting more and more.
