Burton Reunion

We were home in Maryland for a week for what I am calling the Burton family reunion.  All of the kids came to town for a week in the summer and it was so nice to be together.  Miles loved playing with all of his cousins, and worshiped Sophia when she arrived.  We went to the pool, the playground, they threw us a surprise family baby shower, we took family pictures, and we celebrated Sophia's birthday.  Then we picked up a Uhaul and filled it with lots of furniture and boxes my parents had been storing for us.  We brought back an entire bedroom set with bunk beds for Miles, a matching loveseat to the one we already have, an end table, lamps, and all of my boxes of stuff from growing up.  Yeah those boxes are all in the basement and now I actually have to go through them!  My dad and long-time friend Al helped us drive back to Connecticut.  It was great to see everyone!

Everyone loved going to the pool!

They got Georgetown Cupcakes for the baby shower, and even got my favorite one!

Opening presents!

Miles knows how to eat a cupcake

I finally got my hair cut and decided to take advantage of my alone time to grab some Starbucks!

Miles was so excited for Sophia to arrive!

Playing on the slip and slide outside in the rain

They loved their cups with the special straws

It was a little difficult for Miles to have to share the cars with all the cousins but he did pretty well :)

Nothing better than running with cousins

Miles would not leave Sophia's side the whole time.  He kept asking for hugs and was so excited to sit next to her while she opened her presents.

Holding her hair of course

Sweet boy

Putting candles in the ho ho cake I made Sophia

I still can't believe how quick and easy the family picture taking experience was

Miles actually fell asleep for a little bit
