Apples, Apples, and More Apples

Last weekend Claire (and Dylan) and I went apple picking at Wasem's Fruit Farm. It was a beautiful morning and so much fun. I have never gone apple picking, but it is really easy. Lucky for us, they also sell homemade donuts and fresh apple cider. Yum!

Then I went home and made applesauce! It was amazing. I can never eat store bought applesauce again. Here's a link to the really easy recipe that I used. It is so easy. You have to try it. I'm not kidding.

The next day I made an apple pie with a homemade crust.

And finally I made hot cider using a Betty Crocker recipe (I usually halve it for Richard and I). It warms you up and tastes like fall. Now Richard asks me to make it every night.

I so want to make some of your version of hot spiced cider :) I've used mulling spices before to mull the cider, but this just sounds amazing.
