Mystic Aquarium

In April, my friend Sara let us know that they were having a special deal where members at the Mystic Aquarium could bring friends for only $10.  Tickets are usually $30 for adults, so paying only $10 and having Miles come free was a huge deal :)  A number of moms and kids in our ward wanted to go, so we headed over as a group and had fun walking around.  The aquarium isn't huge (compared to the Baltimore Aquarium where I grew up), however it was the perfect size for Miles.  We walked around for about two hours and were able to see almost everything.  Then we ate a picnic lunch with everyone outside and headed home for Miles' nap.  It was a perfect outing!  Don't you love it when something actually goes as well or better than planned?  Always exciting when that happens with kids!

Miles really enjoyed looking at at the animals, but he was most excited to see a fake boat in one of the tanks.  Such a boy...guess we need to try the Mystic Seaport next time.  He just likes to be around other kids, so that was fun in and of itself.

We loved looking at the beluga whales.

Miles was happy to stay in his stroller for the first half of the time
