Baby Shower for Jenn

Last month me and another girl in our ward hosted a baby shower for my best friend in CT, Jenn.  She has actually had her little (well, not really little at 9 lbs 1 oz) girl Lucy now, but I still needed to post pics of the fun night.  Since she already has two girls and needed a few bigger items, we decided to do a group gift shower.  It was so fun to help her get exactly what she needed!  Everyone was super generous, and she even got some individual gifts too.  I made the invitations, handled the group gifts and hosted it at my home, while Sara organized the games, and made the favors and a pretty memory box.  A number of people helped with the food.  Sometimes I feel a little less creative than the baby showers you see on pinterest, but it really came together.  The main thing is we had so many people that loved Jenn!  It was a really fun night, and we had ladies hanging around until 10:30pm talking, which I always take as a good sign.

I was lucky to that several women offered to bring food so that I only had to make the cheese and cracker tray.  I always like a good excuse to pull out the china :)

Sara did an awesome job planning the games.  I need to remember them for future showers, because they were a hit.  First we divided into teams and answered random questions on our own pieces of paper.  Then whichever team had the most in common with each other won.  Next we played taboo with baby words.  And the final game was kinda like white elephant, but with candy bars.  You roll the dice to see if you can pick a candy bar and you can either pick from the pile or steal from someone.  I lost the York Peppermint Patty in the last 5 seconds!!!  It sounds simple, but it was intense!
