Too much freezer jam?

Never! Haha- we haven't finished eating our strawberry freezer jam, but I couldn't help making some more. Last Saturday we went raspberry picking at the Makielski Farm, which is only 15 minutes away from where we live. We were there at 8:30am, and it was so relaxing to be outside picking raspberries on a beautiful morning.

We met Dave and Heidi (and their little Anna) at the raspberry patch. I've never picked raspberries before, but it is really easy. If the raspberries are ripe they should come right off when you pull them, leaving the hull on the branch. Richard and I picked 3 quarts of red raspberries and 1 quart of amber raspberries. I didn't even know amber raspberries existed!

Then we headed home to make the freezer jam, which is actually really easy to make.

I would have to agree... never too much freezer jam. I eat it straight from the jar. And so do the kids. We did apricot this year too. Yummy!

I have yet to make homemade jam... I have failed my domestic duties! You say its easy but it really seems very easy to mess up... a lot of science involved. Maybe when they invent a kitchen aid add on that can make the jam, I'll do it.
