So we visited the school, which is located in Ann Arbor (a really cute town). Here are some pictures from our trip...
This is the law quad. It is beautiful. I love the stone buildings with their huge, wooden, heavy doors. I can't believe this is where Richard will be going to classes.

This is the reading room. It feels like a cathedral inside.
Richard's cousin Dave, and his wife Heidi, were so nice to let us stay with them while we visited. They were such great hosts. Thank you!!! We are so excited to live close to them- mainly because they have the cutest little girl. :)
So while we were there we actually did a lot of apartment hunting. We visited around seven apartment complexes and we found our apartment! We are going to have a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment. It is perfect because it has walk-in closets, a gas fireplace, a full-size washer and dryer, and UNDERGROUND PARKING. Yeah, that's kind of important in Michigan. Oh, and they have a swimming pool, tennis court, fitness center, etc. As you can tell, we are pretty excited. I already found out we can paint the walls, so I can't wait to decorate and make it feel like home. I can already picture our apartment decorated for Christmas, drinking hot chocolate, watching a Christmas movie, and snow (lots of snow) falling outside. Yay!
Another great thing about our move to Michigan is that I get to keep my job. My dad is going to let me telecommute from the 2nd bedroom in our apartment. I love my job so much- I am so glad I can keep working for him.
Alright that's it for now. I will leave you with the floorplan of our apartment...

I'm excited you guys are moving to Michigan!! I can totally tell you guys about all the best places around there because I grew up in Troy (right next to Ann Arbor). There is a ton of great stuff! And Congrats!!
Oh it's gorgeous! I love the gothic architecture!!! Everything is better when it's beautiful, and I'm sure it will be the same with all that reading that goes along with law school ;)
And I did NOT know that about the penny in the bottom of the vase... but that definitely solves the problem without having to use a flower frog! Amazing
SO happy for you two! congratulations!!! just know that we can't wait to see you again and hope it's sooner than later. thx for commenting on our blog. great to hear from you :)
Sarah, that campus looks gorgeous. We're so excited for you guys! Congrats again to Richard and good luck with everything. So will you guys be around in July when we come out? We'd love to see you before you head off to Michigan.
Thanks, Sarah! I love that quilt. Actually, some of the Kentlands women made it for me a few years ago to take with me when I left for college. So, when I say a "few" years, I guess I mean 6...wow. Time sure flies. Anyway, they did a nice job, didn't they?
Well, I hope all is well with you and Richard! Will we get to see you this summer? We'll be there for all of July...
