Old to New

Our apartment in Michigan did not come furnished. Needless to say we needed a lot of furniture. And luckily, my family has been very generous. One of the pieces of furniture they let us have is a table that has been in my dad's family for maybe 70 years. It is the perfect table for our apartment, but it needed refinishing. The chair seats were also pretty ugly (emerald green vinyl from church kneelers - I wish I had a picture for you).

So Richard put his experience from a summer job in high school to good use, and I grabbed my mom for help with recovering the chairs...

Before

#1 Strip & #2 Sand

#3 Stain
#4 Polyurethane
#5 New Seat Cushions

The Final Product
